The Government of West Bengal vide circular dated 31.12.2020 has issued revised minimum wages for employment of clinical nursing homes. The circular provides for minimum monthly and daily wages for highly skilled, skilled, semi skilled and unskilled workers.
The rate of wages applicable in areas under Zone A, which includes municipal corporations, township areas and areas under Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, is as follows:
- Daily Rs. 449 for Highly Skilled Laborers
- Daily Rs. 409 for skilled laborers
- Daily Rs. 371 for semiskilled laborers
- Daily Rs. 338 for unskilled laborers
The rate of wages applicable in areas under Zone B which includes areas not included in Zone A, will be as follows:
- Daily Rs. 394 for Highly Skilled Laborers
- Daily Rs. 358 for skilled laborers
- Daily Rs. 325 for semiskilled laborers
- Daily Rs. 296 for unskilled laborers
