The Department of Personnel and Training vide an office memorandum dated 1st July, 2021, has clarified regarding the Children Education Allowance(CEA) during Covid -19 epidemic lockdown period. The Central Government employees can submit CEA claims through a self-certification or printout of e-mail/ SMS of result/ report card/ fee payment, in addition to the existing modes of claims for academic years ending March 2020 and March 2021.
Cases already settled in favor of the Central Government servant need not be reopened.
