The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board in its order dated 13th July 2020 has directed the industries in the state to obtain NOC from Central Ground Water Authority for the extraction of groundwater and the application for consent to operate/establish submitted to the state board shall be decided on the basis of application submitted by the project proponent to the Central Ground Water Authority for abstraction of ground water.
Further, in case of new application for consent to operate/establish it shall be initially examined at the pre-screening cell and shall be returned back to the project proponent in case of non-submission of application submitted by the project proponent to central groundwater authority for obtaining NOC for abstraction of ground water.
