The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has directed all Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) to complete Generation of EPR Certificates.
The EPR Certificates for sales made in 2022-2023 must be generated on the Centralised EPR Portal for plastic packaging by 31st October, 2023.
It may be recalled that by virtue of an amendment in the Plastic Waste Rules dated 27th April, 2023, PIBOs registered on the portal during the year 2022-2023 were required to file their annual reports by 31st October, 2023.
Therefore, in light of the present directions, PWPs must take necessary actions. Failure to take such action may result in revocation of consent/ de-registration of unit.
