Public Input Sought on Proposed Changes to Cross-Border Electricity Trade Regulations

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is seeking public feedback on proposed amendments to the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Cross Border Trade of Electricity) Regulations, 2024.

This draft revision aims to refine the existing regulations governing cross-border electricity trade in India. The draft is titled the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Cross Border Trade of Electricity) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2024.

The CERC invites comments, suggestions, and objections from stakeholders and interested individuals on the proposed amendments. The draft regulations are available for review on the CERC website.

How to Participate

Submissions are due by January 31, 2025.  Comments can be sent via email to secy@cercind.gov.in and shilpa@cercind.gov.in.  

Registered users can submit comments through the SAUDAMINI Portal by clicking the “e-Regulation” link on the e-filing homepage.
