The Government of Andhra Pradesh through the Revenue Department issued a Notification dated 25th October, 2023 in which it declared the services in the Water Works Department, Electricity Department, Health and Sanitation Department, Medical Department, Engineering Department (Maintenance Section), Transport Department, Canteen Department including M.T.V. Annaprasada Complex, Vigilance and Security Department, S.V.Dairy Farm (S.V. Gosamrakshanasala) Temple Administration (Queue Complex, Temple, Potu, Local Temples), Kalyanakatta Complex, Reception at Tirupati and Tirumala which are under the administrative control of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati as “Essential Services”
The Government has prohibited the strikes in all the said essential services under the control of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati for a period of six months. The said period of six months ends on 23rd May, 2024.
The reason for prohibition of the strikes is that the Government is satisfied that in the public interest, it is necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in all the above said essential services under the control of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati.
