The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change through memorandum dated 19 February, 2021 has provided the procedure for dealing with activities undertaken without obtaining CRZ clearance. Any project or construction undertaken without CRZ clearance is allowed to apply for prospective clearance. The Coastal Zone Management Authority shall assess environmental damages caused by the project and shall recommend activities to be undertaken by applicant within 3 years under Compensatory Conservation Plan.
