Deputy Mayor Chennai has inspected the ground work which took place in Alandur ,Adyar, Perungudi with regards to the north east monsoon in the chennai city. Deputy mayor inspected the pond which is located in velachery race course road and issued an order to deepen the pond. Rain water has been evacuated in Kalki nagar Velachery canal , Veerangal canal within alandur zone ,VGN lakshmi nagar and kavery street. The process of evacuation of rain water is done through giant 100hp motor pumps in Manapakkam canal and in the streets of madipakkam within perungudi zone. Deputy Mayor of Chennai also took necessary actions to prevent water logs in other flood-prone areas in chennai city. Deputy Mayor also insisted the officers and workers to do the work without disturbing the public. After continuous work by staff of chennai city corporation water logs in water prone area are being evacuated and steps to prevent water logs are being initiated by greater chennai city corporation for well being of the people.
