Chief Minister of Gujarat on the third day of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit addressed a seminar on “Opportunities through Circular Economy: Recycling Waste-Water and Waste to Energy” and said that Prime Minister has initiated a new economy of utilizing the waste instead of dumping it. This Notification was published on 12.01.2024.
Gujarat has implemented a ‘Waste to Energy’ policy and has taken important steps in the direction of the circular economy. World Bank Country Director in his address said that all things cannot be destroyed on earth and rather considered to be recycled-reused-restored. The circular economy aims to recycle and reuse the waste generated on earth and create a sustainable future for mankind. If developing countries reduce their expenditure on waste disposal and utilize it for development, it will help to enhance the overall development of people and can help to eradicate poverty.
