The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued new guidelines regarding pharmacist registration on the DIGI-PHARMed portal. These guidelines aim to integrate pharmacists with the national Healthcare Professional Registry (HPR) using the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) number. This circular was issued on November 20, 2024.
All registered pharmacists must verify their profiles on the DIGI-PHARMed portal using their ABHA number by January 4, 2025. Non-compliance will result in profile deactivation.
New pharmacist registrations on DIGI-PHARMed now require mandatory ABHA verification at the time of signup.
Pharmacists without an ABHA number are encouraged to create one using their Aadhaar card.
Pharmacy institutions are responsible for ensuring their faculty have ABHA-verified profiles on DIGI-PHARMed. Starting from the 2025-2026 academic session, only ABHA-verified faculty profiles will be considered for Self-Inspection Form (SIF) applications.
Pharmacists are urged to upload only authentic and validated documents during registration. Any discrepancies found by the PCI may lead to profile blacklisting.
In case of technical difficulties, pharmacists can contact the PCI via email at pcihelpinfo@gmail.com or by phone at +91-7303110019.
