Paid leave on event of Bye-elections in Himachal Pradesh

The Government of Himachal Pradesh vide circular dated 2nd July, 2024 declares special paid holiday in light of Bye-elections. July 10th 2024, is designated as a gazetted holiday for employees employed under all Government offices/ Boards/ Corporations, Educational Institutions and Industrial Establishments in 10-Dehra, 38- Hamirpur and 51- Nalagarh Assembly constituencies, Himachal Pradesh on account of the Bye-elections, ensuring that employees to exercise Right to Vote.   

Additionally, special paid holiday is declared on 10th July for registered voters from Punjab working in border areas of Sirmour & Shimla Districts of Himachal Pradesh on account of Bye-elections to be conducted in 34 – Jalandhar West (SC) Assembly Constituency of Punjab and for registered voters from Uttarakhand working in border areas of Una, Kangra, Chamba and Solan districts of  Himachal Pradesh on account of Bye-elections to be conducted in 04-Badrinath & 33-Manglaur Assembly Constituency of Uttarakhand. 

This special paid holiday is extended to government, semi-government, and industrial establishment employees who are registered voters of the aforementioned states and union territories. 

Furthermore, it is emphasized that special casual leave may be granted to employees working in different places within Himachal Pradesh but have the right to vote in other constituencies/places. This is contingent upon the production of a certificate from the concerned Presiding Officer confirming the casting of their vote.
