The Government of Kerala has introduced a One time settlement scheme of Kerala State Electricity Board to settle electricity bill arrears with interest concession. Dues of more than 2 years can be settled through the scheme. Arrears pending revenue recovery proceedings or pending court proceedings may also be settled. For low tension customers the service will be available at their respective section office and for high tension customers at the office of the Special Officer Revenue.
4% interest on arrears above 15 years. 5% interest on arrears between 5 to 15 years. 6% interest on arrears between 2 to 5 years. Interest on electricity dues can be paid in 6 instalments. An additional 2% discount on the total interest amount is also available if the entire electricity dues are settled in one go along with the interest.
