The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change ( MOEF&CC ) has published the Environment (Protection) Fifth Amendment Rules, 2023. These amendment rules were published on November 8, 2023.
These amendment rules aim to further amend the Environment (Protection) Fifth Amendment Rules, 2023.
It may be recalled that on October 4, 2021, the Central Government had issued the Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2021. These rules provided regulations on use of Water Purification System.
However, recently, the government has reviewed its regulations on the use of Water Purification Systems. It has therefore established new rules governing the use of Water Purification Systems which were published on November 10, 2023.
Now by the present amendment rules, the government has withdrawn the its earlier regulations on the use of Water Purification System that it had issued on October 4, 2021. The new regulations aim to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of water purification processes, ensuring responsible waste management and consumer awareness.
