Odisha PCB issues revised mechanism for auto-renewal of consent to operate

The State Pollution Control Board of Odisha vide circular dated 07.01.2021 has issued revised mechanism for auto-renewal of consent to operate based on self-certification. Auto-renewal of consent to operate can be obtained if:

• The proponent shall apply for auto renewal before two months of expiry of consent to operate.
• There is no pending prohibitory directions or cases against applicant.
• There is no increase in production/pollution load or expansion of unit.
• The applicant shall submit latest annual report, self certification form and consent fee.
• The industry is not under closure order.
