The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has announced a final opportunity for nursing educational institutions to renew their suitability for the academic year 2025-26. This notification was issued on April 3, 2025.
This comes as a follow-up to the INC’s earlier notification dated February 3rd, 2025 which had provided a window for applications between February 3, 2025, and March 31, 2025. Institutions that failed to submit their renewal applications within this initial deadline are now being given a second chance. The INC will reopen its online portal from April 3, 2025, to April 30, 2025, specifically for late renewal submissions.
However, institutions submitting applications during this extended period will be required to pay a penalty of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only).
The renewal application is available online through the institute login on the INC’s website. The application, titled “Application for renewal of suitability 2025-26 in INC,” can be found at serial number 1.
The INC has emphasized that no further extensions will be granted beyond April 30, 2025. Institutions are strongly advised to complete their applications within this timeframe to avoid any disruption to their operations for the 2025-26 academic year.
The renewal of suitability is a crucial requirement for nursing educational institutions under Sections 13 and 14 of the INC Act 1947. The INC urges all eligible nursing institutions that have not yet submitted their renewal applications to take advantage of this final opportunity and submit their applications online before the April 30th deadline.
