The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an important notice to all medical colleges and institutes regarding fee payments. This notice dated December 16, 2024 was published on December 20, 2024.
The NMC has observed a recurring problem of payment gateway overloads due to a high volume of transactions on application closing dates, even after providing sufficient time and extensions. To address this issue and ensure smooth processing, the NMC has implemented the policy that on closing dates, fee payments will only be accepted until 2:00 PM (14:00 hrs).
Key Points from the NMC Notice
The NMC strongly advises all stakeholders to submit applications and remit fees well in advance of the deadline. They have urged applicants to avoid procrastination and act promptly to complete the application process.
Payments can be made during normal banking hours on all days leading up to the closing date. However, this changes on the closing date itself. On the closing date, the payment gateway will close at 2:00 PM (14:00 hrs). Any attempts to make payments after this time will not be processed.
The NMC has clearly stated that applicants will be solely responsible for any technical failures or glitches encountered when attempting payments after the 2 PM deadline on the closing date.
