NMC Reviews More Applications For New PG Medical Courses and Seats

The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) is moving forward with its review of applications for new postgraduate medical courses and increased program capacity. It has released a series of notifications on additional online applications submitted by medical institutions. These notifications were issued on 27th to 29th March, 2024.

This announcement builds upon previous public notices issued throughout March, 2024. These notices are dated March 11th, 12th, and 15th, 21st, and 22nd, 2024.

By the noticed dated March 27, 2024, the MARB has communicated on 209 online applications from medical institutions. Similarly, it also issued another notice dated March 28, 2024 emphasizing communication on additional 102 applications. Soon thereafter, it issued a notice on March 29, 2024, communication on a further 100 applications.

It may be recalled that all these applications pertain to the commencement of new PG medical courses or the augmentation of seats in existing PG medical courses for the Academic Year 2024-25.

MARB has now officially communicated on 1,488 online applications in total till date. These applications were submitted by medical institutions seeking to expand educational opportunities for future doctors.

The notifications for these applications have been sent directly to the respective institutions via email. Each institution will find information regarding the next steps and deadlines within the notification.

The MARB is committed to a thorough review process and will continue to communicate with institutions regarding the remaining applications in the coming days.
