The National Medical Commission on 10th March 2022 has issued notice to medical colleges applying for increase of MBBS seats.
The medical colleges applying for increase of MBBS seats should have received letter of permission and run the one batch of MBBS to its completion. The college should also have received recognition.
Further the recognition inspection should have been physically conducted for ascertaining infrastructure and also the inspection of the final MBBS examination. Only such colleges who have received the recognition shall be eligible to apply for increase of seats.
