The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued guidelines for the counseling process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024. The guidelines are based on the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (PGMER-2023). A press release on this counselling process was issued on November 8, 2024.
Key Points of the Guidelines
All rounds of counseling for PG medical courses will be conducted online by state or central government counseling authorities.
Medical colleges and institutions must strictly adhere to the PGMER-2023 regulations. Any violation may lead to the discharge of students and a reduction in seat intake.
All permitted PG seats in medical colleges/institutions will be recognized for the purpose of registration of additional qualifications.
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has published the schedule for the NEET PG counseling process for the academic year 2024. Stakeholders, including medical colleges and aspirants, are advised to refer to the PGMER-2023 and the NMC website for detailed information on seat availability and counseling procedures.
