The National Medical Commission has issued frequently asked questions about the National Medical Commission( Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate) Regulations, 2021. The Regulations shall govern any person seeking to practice medicine in India who doesn’t have a basic graduation or primary qualification from a medical institution in India.
The Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate) Regulations, 2021 shall come into force w.e.f 18 November, 2021 and any foreign medical graduate who obtained his graduation before the commencement of the regulation shall not be governed by the regulation.
