The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice inviting applications for the establishment of new postgraduate medical courses and institutions for the Academic Year 2025-2026. This notice was issued on September 20, 2024
Key Aspects of the Notice
Applications are invited for any of the following:
- Starting new postgraduate courses,
- Establishment of standalone postgraduate medical institutions and
- Increase in the number of seats in existing post graduate medical courses
Interested institutions must submit their applications through the web portal for the AY 2025-2026.
The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has outlined detailed guidelines and criteria for evaluating applications.
Conditions for Applications
All applications must be submitted electronically through the official NMC website portal. The application window is open from September 18 to October 17, 2024.
Applying institutions must comply with all NMC regulations, Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines, and relevant orders, notices, and circulars issued by the NMC and other authorities.
Applicants shall complete the online application form using the provided guiding document.
As part of this process, the following documents are required in PDF format:
- Valid Essentiality Certificate (EC)
- Valid Consent of Affiliation (CoA)
- Justification for the requested number of seats
Applicants shall pay the requisite fee online during the application process.
Private institutions must submit a bank guarantee within seven working days of receiving the Letter of Intent (LOI). Government institutions may be required to submit an undertaking.
