The National Medical Commission’s Under-Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) has announced a final extension for medical colleges and institutions across India to submit their Annual Declaration forms. However, this extension comes with a penalty for non-compliance. This public notice was issued on March 28, 2025.
The UGMEB has extended the deadline for submission from April 1st, 2025, to April 10, 2025. This extension is outlined in a public notice dated March 28, 2025.
It may be recalled that the NMC had previously issued notices on 1st, 14th, 28th Novemeber, 2024 and December 10, 2024, urging medical colleges to submit their annual declarations. Despite these reminders, some colleges have yet to comply.
Therefore, it has decided that medical colleges that fail to submit their Annual Declaration forms by April 1, 2025 can submit it by the extended deadline but will incur a penalty of Rs. 50,000 (including GST).
The Annual Declaration process is a mandatory requirement for medical colleges to provide essential data to the NMC, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
The NMC urges all Principals and Deans of medical colleges and institutions to take immediate action and submit their Annual Declaration forms before the final deadline of April 10, 2025.
The NMC emphasizes the importance of timely submission to maintain the integrity of medical education standards in India. This final extension serves as a last opportunity for institutions to comply with the regulations.
