The National Medical Commission, on 28th July, 2022, issued a circular requesting all medical colleges and medical institutions in India to mandatorily register in All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE). The list of institutions in the AISHE helps to check the genuineness of student applicants in different schemes.
It also helps in extending entitlements to eligible and deserving students under different scholarship schemes in the National Scholarships Portal, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), after verification. Inclusion of all institutions in the AISHE is necessary as the next round of applications for scholarships will start shortly.
