New Wages Announced for Part-Time Workers in Puducherry

Following the increase in Dearness Allowance from 46% to 50% for regular government employees in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations, the wages of part-time casual laborers in various departments of the U.T. of Puducherry are set to be revised effective January 1, 2024. Presently at Rs. 13,140, the revised wages will adhere to the guidelines outlined in Office Memorandum No.A. 12030/1/98/F3 dated December 17, 1998, of the Finance Department, Puducherry. It’s imperative to adhere strictly to the instructions regarding the engagement of part-time casual laborers as stipulated in the aforementioned memorandum.
