The government has launched the Centralized EPR Plastic Packaging (CEPP) mobile application to streamline Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for plastic packaging. This app simplifies the process for Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs) to upload their sales transaction data, ensuring accurate and efficient reporting.
The CEPP app is designed to make it easier for businesses to comply with EPR regulations by simplifying the upload of sales transaction data related to plastic packaging.
The app provides a user-friendly interface and step-by-step instructions for PIBOs to report their sales transactions. The process involves:
- PIBOs must log in to the EPR Plastic portal to obtain their Secure Mobile App Code.
- Users log in to the CEPP app using their registered email ID and the Secure Mobile App Code.
- The app dashboard displays uploaded transactions and a breakdown of transactions for registered and unregistered buyers.
- Users can scan GST e-Invoice QR codes to automatically capture invoice details.
- The app allows users to select whether the buyer is registered or unregistered in the EPR portal.
- Users must enter plastic packaging quantities, HSN codes, and recycled percentages.
- After verifying the entered data, users can upload the transaction to the Centralized EPR Plastic Packaging Portal.
The app simplifies the complex process of EPR reporting. QR code scanning and automated data capture save time and reduce errors. The app’s verification process ensures accurate data submission. It also helps PIBOs comply with EPR regulations more effectively.
Users are advised to ensure that their GST e-Invoices have clear and scannable QR codes. For any technical issues, users can contact EPR support.
The CEPP mobile application is available for download on the Google Play Store.
