On 16th August 2024, the Rajasthan State Election Commission issued a notification announcing the bye-election program for 16 urban bodies across 11 districts of the state. These by-elections are set to take place on 5th September 2024 (Thursday). In view of the elections, the Governor of Rajasthan has declared a public holiday on 5th September 2024 ,under the Explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
