(UGC) has announced a new initiative titled ‘NEP SAARTHI- Student Ambassador for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education in India’ to involve students in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. UGC has invited applications from educational institutions and have published the list of selected NEP SAARTHIs.

The core objective of these new regulations is to eradicate discrimination within higher educational institutions (HEIs) based on caste, religion, sex, and other identity markers.
