The Government of India has announced an extension to the internship completion deadline for candidates appearing in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS) 2025. This public notice was issued by the Dental Council of India (DCI) on March 26, 2025.
The government has extended the last date for internship completion to June 30, 2025. This extension aims to provide more flexibility to candidates who may face delays in completing their mandatory internships.
Despite the extension of the internship deadline, the NEET-MDS 2025 examination will proceed as scheduled on April 19, 2025.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will open a separate registration portal for students completing their internships between April 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025. This will enable them to register for the NEET-MDS 2025 exam, even though their internship completion falls after the initial registration period.
This decision is expected to benefit a significant number of candidates who were facing challenges in meeting the original internship completion deadline. The extension provides them with additional time to fulfill the eligibility criteria while ensuring that the examination schedule remains unaffected.
