NCT Delhi extends the ban on the entry of trucks till 26th November 2021.

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee on 21st November 2021 has issued a set of directions to control pollution in the region and has ordered banning of trucks entering into the capital till 26th November 2021.

Government of India on 20 November 2021 as per their Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi predicts that the air quality is likely to remain in Poor to Moderate category on 22.11.2021 and 23.11.2021 and the air quality for subsequent five days is also likely to remain in Poor to Lower end of Very Poor category.

Therefore keeping in view the very poor air quality forecast and that vehicular pollution would cause extensive air pollution and release harmful air pollutants particularly when air quality is very poor and it is felt that there is a need for further extension of curbs on the vehicular movement in Delhi.

It is hereby ordered that the entry of trucks in Delhi shall be barred except the trucks carrying essential commodities, till 26th November, 2021 subject to further review for extension of this date.

All private offices/establishments are advised to allow their staff to work from home, so as to ensure the least vehicular movement on the roads till 26th November, 2021.

However, the curbs on construction and demolition activities in the city have been lifted.
