The Securities and Exchange Board of India vide its notification dated 8th September 2020 has allowed National stock exchange to undertake aadhaar authentication service of the UIDA subject to certain compliance.
SEBI in its earlier circular has permitted eight entities to undertake Aadhaar Authentication service of UIDA, however, through this notification it has added the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to the list of entities that can undertake e-KYC Aadhaar authentication.
Further, the Sebi registered intermediaries and mutual fund distributors who want to undertake Aadhaar authentication services through KUAs, are required to enter into an agreement with KUA and get themselves registered with UIDAI as sub-KUAs.
