National Medical Commission Seeks Input on Medical Student Well-being

The National Medical Commission (NMC) is seeking feedback from stakeholders on the mental health and well-being of medical students in India. This public notice was dated May 21, 2024.

The NMC’s Anti-Ragging Cell established a National Task Force to address concerns on mental health of medical students.

The Task Force will hold a meeting to gather input from students, parents, and student associations. The meeting format (physical, virtual, or hybrid) will be determined based on registrations.

Those interested in participating can register through a Google Form by May 25, 2024.

Specific meeting dates will be announced on the NMC website starting May 27th, 2024.

The NMC recognizes the importance of addressing mental health concerns among medical students. This initiative aims to gather valuable insights to improve student support systems.

The Task Force hopes to develop effective strategies to promote mental well-being and a positive learning environment for medical students across India.
