The National Medical commission vide circular dated 18.10.2021 has issued advisory for all medical colleges and attached hospitals regarding antimicrobial resistance and misuse of antimicrobial. The advisory directs them to review and develop curriculum and resources for in-service training for healthcare professionals and practical education of nursing and medical students on AMR, judicious use of antimicrobial, antimicrobial stewardship and infections prevention & control.
