MoHFW issues clarification regarding side effects of Covid-19 Vaccine

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare through press release dated 25 June 2021 has issued clarifications regarding recognized Covid-19 vaccines in India. Following clarifications are provided:

1. All vaccines have mild side-effects.
2. This includes mild fever, fatigue, pain in the injection site, etc. for a day or two. It does not cause any serious side-effects.
3. When children get their regular vaccines, even they show certain side-effects like fever, swelling etc.
4. Most people do not face any side-effect after COVID vaccination but it does not mean that vaccines are not efficient. Only 20% – 30% people are going to experience fever after vaccination.
5. COVID-19 vaccines do not cause infertility.
