MOHFW extends the insurance scheme for health workers fighting COVID-19 for a further period of 90 days

The Ministry of Health of Family Welfare vide its circular dated 26^th June 2020 has decided to further extend the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package, an insurance scheme for health workers fighting COVID-19, for a period of 90 days starting from 30^th July 2020.

The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan scheme was introduced on 30^th March 2020 to grant comprehensive personal accident cover for public health care workers, including community health workers who have been in direct contact and care of COVID-19 patients.
