The Ministry of Commerce and Industry vide notification dated 25th September, 2023 has issued the Miscellaneous Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2023. All Miscellaneous Steel Products shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the Miscellaneous Steel Products. Any person, who contravenes the provisions of this Order, shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
This order shall come into force within 6 months of publication.
