Ministry of Food Processing Industries notifies scheme for Creation/ Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC/ Unit Scheme).

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) vide its notification dated 8th June 2022, has notified the Scheme for Creation/ Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC/ Unit Scheme) under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. The main objective of the scheme is creation of processing and preservation capacities and modernization/ expansion of existing food processing units which will help in increasing the level of processing, value addition and thereby lead to reduction in food loss and result in enhancement of farmers’ income.

Any organisation or an individual engaged in or that plans to engage in creation/expansion/modernization of food processing and preservation capacities would be eligible for financial assistance under the scheme.

The eligible sectors under this scheme includes, Fruits & vegetables processing,  Milk Processing, Meat/ poultry/ fish processing, Ready to Eat/ Ready to Cook Food Products/ Breakfast cereals/ Snacks/ bakery and other food products including nutritional health foods, Grains/ pulses, oil seed milling and processing based on modern technology and Any other sector that makes food products fit for human consumption.

The Application under this scheme shall be submitted online on the sampada portal of the ministry. No Physical application will be accepted. All the pages in the documents submitted online must be self-attested by the applicant or its authorised signatory.
