The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on 6th July 2022, has notified that the agricultural commodities, namely Frozen Green Peas, Frozen French beans, Frozen Cauliflower and Frozen Spinach shall be stored in a registered warehouse.
These commodities shall comply with the qualitative specifications or standards of the Bureau of Indian Standards or AGMARK or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India:
Provided that in case, the Bureau of Indian Standards or the AGMARK or the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India standards do not exist for those commodities, quality standards laid down by the Central Government or the State Governments or the Government bodies shall be applicable.
Further, the commodities requiring chemical or allied laboratory analysis, all AGMARK laboratories, all accredited laboratories notified by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration and laboratories recognized by the Bureau of Indian Standards and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India are authorised for laboratory testing.
