The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has proposed amendments to the Static and Mobile Pressure Vessels (Unfired) Rules, 2016. Changes Proposed
The draft proposes doubling the validity period for:
- Shop approvals to manufacture pressure vessels (Rule 4(3))
- Licenses to store compressed gas in pressure vessels (Forms LS-1A, LS-1B, LS-1C)
- Licenses to transport compressed gas in pressure vessels (Form LS-2)
This extension reduces the frequency of required renewals, potentially saving businesses time and resources.
