The Ministry of Home Affairs through order dated 29 June, 2021 has directed that the National Directives for Covid-19 management shall be strictly followed by the states. The directives shall be enforced by district magistrates and violations shall be punished under the Disaster Management Act, 2005. States should focus on upgradation of health infrastructure, timely commissioning of PSA plants in hospitals, adequate planning for availability of medical oxygen, availability of logistics and buffer stock of drugs.
