The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has earlier notified that certain devices intended for use in human beings has to be considered as drugs as per the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. However through this notification which was issued on 27th December 2019, The Ministry has extended the timeline within which the list of devices will be considered to be ‘drugs From 1st April 2020 to 1st April 2021.
