The Delhi Development Authority through notification dated 20th September, 2021 has modified the Master Plan for Delhi-2021. The revised Master Plan provides policy for dynamic parking morns for Delhi. These revised parking norms shall become applicable on all sites/properties where construction has not yet begun, even if the plans have been approved by the concerned local body. In all such cases where the plans have already been approved, the properties may be developed with these revised norms and the concerned local body may be informed of the same in writing and no separate permission for the same is needed to be taken.
In case of Government Housing Projects, the parking norms shall be as per the applicable norms adopted in case of GPRA Colonies.
If a property is located within a walkable distance from a Metro Station, the parking requirement within that property shall be reduced by a prescribed percentage viz. for properties located upto 500 m from a metro station, the deduction in parking within the plot shall be 30 percent of the parking norm and for properties located more than 500 m and less than 800 m from a metro station, the deduction in parking within the plot shall be 15 percent of the parking norm.
