The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has mandated for prevention, control and abatement of pollution in the environment and directed the field staff of MPCB for periodic collections of samples from polluting industries in general and high pollution potential industries in particular as per the visits assigned through central inspection system and also mandated to upload the visit report on boards IMIS application within 48 hours.
Further, if the report is not uploaded within 48 hours it will be treated as null and void, and suitable stringent action will be initiated against the field staff.
