- Allied and Healthcare Institution: This refers to any educational or research institution that offers diplomas, undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral degrees, or other post-degree certifications in allied and healthcare professions under the Act.
- Allied Health Professional: An individual who has received training to perform technical and practical tasks that support the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, diseases, injuries, or impairments. To qualify, professionals must complete a program of at least 1,000 hours over two to four years, structured into specific semesters or annual patterns.
