The Bureau of Indian Standards vide notification dated 6th June, 2022 has issued the Jute Bags (Quality Control )Order, 2022. The order mandates that Jute bags shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standards and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license obtained from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
