The government of Jharkhand on June 28th 2024, notified the rate of minimum wage to be fixed for the different categories of workmen of any category or class under the Jharkhand Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1972.
In the absence of any agreed-upon rate of wage for a specific employment of any category or class of workmen, the contractor is obligated to pay the following wages on monthly basis,
- Unskilled – Rs. 12,203.36/-
- Semi- skilled – Rs. 12,784.72/-
- Skilled – Rs. 16,853.20/-
- Highly skilled – Rs. 19,467.76/-
Other conditions related to rates of wages, holiday, hours of work and conditions of service shall remain the same as the original order.
