Indian Nursing Council Publicizes Fake Notice In Its Name

The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has publicized a fake notice notice issued under its name and order. This fake notice is purportedly expressing a stern warning to all nursing colleges across India regarding the maintenance of accurate faculty records.

It may be recalled that this is not the first time the INC has been the subject of fake notices. In June 2023, the INC had issued a notification clarifying on the fake notification issued in its name. Similarly on October 30, 2023, the INC had issued an urgent and immediate general notice to the public emphatically rebutting fake notifications issued in its name.

The present fake notice states that the council has discovered that some institutions are falsely representing faculty members who are not actively working in their colleges.

The fake notice also states that maintaining records of individuals employed elsewhere, such as in clinical settings, as Community Health Officers (CHOs), or as Nursing Officers, while not actively teaching, constitutes a serious violation of regulations.

The fake notice urges all nursing colleges to immediately review and update their faculty records, ensuring that only actively employed faculty members are listed. It goes on to say that INC “no further excuses or non-compliance will be entertained.
