The Central Board of Direct Taxes vide notification dated 17 August, 2022 has issued the Income-tax (25th Amendment) Rules, 2022. The amendment has revised Form No. 10 to be filed by fund /institution / trust / any university / other educational institution /any hospital / other medical institution/association to avail income tax exemption under Section 10 of Income Tax Act.
The revised form shall be shall be furnished electronically either under digital signature or electronic verification
code to avail the tax exemption. The Amendment shall come into force from 1st day of April, 2023.
The Income-tax (26th Amendment) Rules, 2022 has revised the Form No. 29D filed to seek refund of the tax deducted and paid to the credit of Central Government.
