The Central Government has amended the Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Order, 2021, to postpone its implementation date. This order of extension was issued on September 13, 2024.
The Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Order, 2021 provides that Ethylene Dichloride shall conform to the Ethylene Dichloride – Specification in IS 869 :2020. It shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2024, has been issued to modify the date of implementation of the original order.
The effective date of the Ethylene Dichloride (Quality Control) Order, 2021, has been extended to March 12, 2025.
This extension provides additional time for stakeholders to prepare for the implementation of the quality control measures outlined in the order.
