The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) issued notification dated 12th January, 2024, regarding the implementation of the commercial mechanism for deviation settlement of solar and wind generators. The notification refers to the PSERC (Forecasting, Scheduling, Deviation Settlement and Related Matters of Solar and Wind Generation Sources) Regulations, 2019, which were initially issued on 7th January, 2019.
It specifically mentions the proviso in the 2019 Regulations, stating that the commercial deviation settlement would come into force upon a separate notification by the Commission.
Thereby the notification declares that the commercial mechanism for deviation settlement of solar and wind generators, in line with the 2019 regulations, will be effective from 1st February , 2024.
