Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries can now manage their healthcare needs with a tap. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched the “myCGHS” app for iOS devices. A press release on the launch was issued on April 3, 2024.

During the launch the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, stated that the myCGHS app was a crucial step forward for CGHS as it empowers beneficiaries with convenient access to essential healthcare features.
Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Himachal Pradesh and NIC Health Team, the app offers a range of features for CGHS beneficiaries:

- Download CGHS Card and Index Card
- Access Lab Reports from CGHS Labs
- Track Medication History
- Check Medical Reimbursement Claim Status
- View Referral Details
- Locate Nearby Wellness Centers
- Stay Updated on News and Announcements
- Find Nearby Empanelled Hospitals, Labs, and Dental Units
- Access Contact Details for Wellness Centers and Offices
The app prioritizes user privacy with features like 2-factor authentication and mPIN functionality to safeguard data confidentiality and integrity.
